Historical memory is defined as the right of all citizens to know their own history, especially contemporary history. This history contains the diverse memories of the people and, specifically, of groups that have fought for freedom and democratic values. The recovery process of rejected memories is especially urgent and necessary in order to help us understand the relationship between witnesses from the past and contemporary historical processes.
