Espai Lluís Companys, as a centre owned by Tornabous council, is, since 2019, part of Xarxa d’Espais de Memòria from Memorial Democràtic. This institution is owned by the Catalan Government, and its purpose is the recovery, commemoration and promotion of democratic memory in Catalonia.

This net (Xarxa d’Espais de Memòria) is defined by Memorial Democràtic as: “a set of places that build memorial patrimony, tangible and intangible, which represents the fight and conflicts to gain freedom and democratic rights, from the proclaim of the Second Spanish Republic to the democratic transition. They form a common will to recover, conserve and spread those memories”.
